Our proprietary PoroCell™ cell carrier matrices are designed to offer an optimal environment for cell adhesion, cellular proliferation, and cell function. The Porocell™cell carriers are biodegradable and promote vascularization in vivo. They are uniquely suited for ex-vivo 3d cell cultures and in vivo implantation of functional tissue.
HAC Biomed has built an expertise in liver and pancreatic cell tissue engineering. Our Hepautocell matrix assisted autologous liver cell transplantation is used clinically for the individual treatment of liver cirrhosis in Germany. This procedure is currently subject of a planned multi-center controlled clinical study in Germany.
